Vale Royal Athletic Club has two Welfare Officers to make sure that there is a safe learning environment for all athletes under the age of eighteen. The Welfare Officers makes sure that all coaches have completed an enhanced DBS check, which is compulsory for coaches who donate their time on a voluntary basis with athletes at the club.
This is in accordance with England Athletics (governing body) policy guidelines to make sure that all athletes and coaches are aware of welfare issues which include child protection aspects at the club.
The Welfare Officers at Vale Royal Athletic Club are Debbie Broad and Zoe Doyle, who are both available for advice on any welfare issues for athletes, parents or coaches.
