Results and Photos from the Inter County Cross Country Championships

These were held on Saturday 7th March at Loughborough.

Report from Andy Carter:

Some great results for Vale Royal athletes at the Inter Counties in Loughborough yesterday, the course was particularly heavy and very hard going for everyone.

Alex started it off with 12th place in the U20 Men - a great performance in a very strong field and a run that will be great for his confidence moving forward.

Dylan ran a fine race in the U15 boys to finish 63rd.
In the U17 men Raif also took 12th place - coming through from quite well down at the end of the first lap - again a great performance.
Robbie Price took 36th in the U13 Boys to continue his excellent season.

The penultimate race of the day was the one Cheshire hope to get a medal and the girls, including 5 Vale Royal girls did not disappoint - with Cheshire taking Gold with 46 points, 55 ahead of 2nd place Yorkshire.
Holly took the bronze medal, Grace was 5th and Hope 15th.
It is amazing our girls have won every National title on offer to U15's this winter - 2 National Relays, the National Cross Country title 2 weeks ago, all for VR and now Inter County Gold with Cheshire, plus Northern titles too.

There were also good runs by Alice and Isobel in the U15 Girls, Lana, Eva and Sophie in the U13 girls, Sam in the U17 Men, Ellie in the U20 Women, Helen in the Senior Ladies and finally Arun and Stuart in the Senior Men, the final race and in the worst of the conditions.
