Quadrathlon Win for Ellie - and More!

Club athletes Ellie Jackson & Olivia Moynihan performed in the Dash Indoor Quadrathlon on Sunday 11th November at SportCity.

Ellie won the U13 Girls points based competition, outright winner in 3 out of the 4 events!

Full results and more details of the event can be found at:

A few points to note on Ellie’s performance:

• Long Jump – new club record of 4.45mtrs
• Shot – new club record of 7.32mtrs
• 60mtrs – new club standard of 8.7secs

Further to this, Ellie was at the Northern Indoor Athletics graded open meeting on Saturday 17th in Sheffield. She competed as an U13 but in the U15 age group in what was a really high quality field.
There were over 400 athletes participating on the day across the whole age range from the North of England & The Midlands in what was very much an elite competition.

Ellie performed really well with the following statistics:

• 60 metres – new PB of 8.61 secs which improves her club record further. Ellie was 1st U13 girl on the day for 60 mtrs.
• Shot – massive new PB of 8.20mtrs which now means a new club record also and a 3 metre improvement on the club record that stood in 2011. Ellie was ranked 3rd overall in the U15 category amongst a field of 20 athletes which was a great achievement for a non-specialist shot putter.
• 600 mtrs – 3rd ranked U13 girl on the day.

Emily Edgar also competed with a solid 8.83secs in her first ever 60mtrs event, and 3.90mtrs in the long jump in what was her first appearance of the season.
Full results of the event can be found on the Northern Athletics website HERE.
We're all looking forward to the next Sheffield event on 8th December.
